Jak and Daxter- Lady Amara

Another old pic that I found and never submitted.

I kept thinking about how in the Jak and Daxter series they have references to the fathers of the characters but never the mothers, with the exception of Sig mentioning how his mother read him stories of Mar as a child.

So then I thought, what the heck, let's see what Jak's mother might look like. (it was Mother's Day last year )

I checked out what similarities Jak held with his dad Damas, and then looked at other characters and seen what similarities they had with their parents (Ashelin and Praxis, Rayn and Krew, Keira and Samos [the last two not having many similarities ] )

Based on that, I designed Lady Amara, the former Queen of Haven City.
When Baron Praxis betrayed Damas, Amara was captured when the KG subdued the Royal Guards at the Palace. As a result of being in a different location than her husband, she was thrown into a different convoy, and fortunately, it was broken into by Stylette and Acre, an ill Royal Guardian suffering from DEP (Dark Eco Poisoning).
But rather than escape the city, Lady Amara urged her rescuers to intercept Praxis to save Damas and her son.

Obeying orders, they arrived at the transport site, but too late as the convoy carrying the king and his supporters headed off for the Wasteland. Though, they saw Count Veger and the Baron holding the young Mar captive, intending on using the boy for Eco experiments. The trio attacked the escort party, with Mar getting lost in the chaos (where he would later be found by the Underground resistance wandering the streets).
Outnumbered and outgunned, they were forced to retreat. Stylette, Acre, and an unwilling Amara evaded capture of the KGB, whose reckless shooting caused an explosion in the Industrial Sector, effectively faking the deaths of the queen and her rescuers.

Unsafe to remain in Haven City, the trio headed underground into the Catacombs where they found a passage leading to an ancient Precursor city hidden beneath the ocean. Living among the mutant-like creatures that dwell there, Lady Amara helped to improve the lives of the city's denizens and defend them against the dangers that consecutively threaten their way of life.

So that's it, that's her story. I know there's a new Jak and Daxter game coming out soon (The Lost Frontier), but I'd figure I'd go ahead and put my fandom on here before then. I have Acre drawn, but he's not colored so I may work on him when I get a chance
Anyway, I'm very pleased with how she came out
